Rain Barrel, Diverter, Connections, Outlet Spigot
Finally, a rain barrel that doesn't look like a rain barrel! If you've put a lot of care into your landscaping, have a persnickety homeowners' association, or just don't love the aesthetics of traditional rain barrels, check out the WaterStone Rainwater Collection System. Cleverly masquerading as a boulder, the WaterStone rain barrel blends right into your landscape. Unlike an ordinary yard decoration, the WaterStone helps you save money, reduce your water usage, and irrigate your lawn and garden with fresh, chemical-free water.
Use the included downspout diverter kit to attach the WaterStone to your rain gutter. After about two hours of moderate rainfall, your handsome lawn ornament will be filled with rainwater. Attach a soaker hose to the WaterStone to direct your water to a nearby garden, or save it for a sunny day. Rain barrel water is perfect for watering plants, washing cars, or just about anything you would normally do with water from a hose. Need more than 40 gallons of water at a time? Get a collection of WaterStones, link them together, and build a robust irrigation system without your neighbors suspecting that you're running a bootleg whiskey distillery.

Actually no stars would be my rating. The holes in the "rock" are in wrong sides. The hole to insert the tube is in the back of the stone and has to bend to connect to the downspout diverter. There's no way to place the stone in position for a straight tube connection to the diverter as the directions stipulate. Also, all the pictures show the "spigot" to be in front. The one we received has the spigot on the low side edge which is very inconvenient and would be only a few inches from the house foundation (if it were on the front, it could be 20+ inches from the foundation.) Very disappointed that we cannot hook up and use this system on the downspout for which we bought it and it won't fit our other downspout situations either. Will have to find another type of barrel with a different diverter system. Save yourself money and aggravation and look for something else.

Comments about WaterStones Rescue 40 Gallon Rainwater Collection System:
Looks good, easy to install. Picture shows outlet hose on the side. Mine had outlet in front ( or back ) depending how it's set. Makes it easier to install on right or left of downspout.
Very pleased with product. Bob

Comments about WaterStones Rescue 40 Gallon Rainwater Collection System:
This is the second rainbarrel of this style. Attractive and easy to install. The diverter was included in the price.
No problem attaching the diverter to the drain pipe. LIke the
fact that the overflow goes down the drain pipe, not spilling over the top like some styles.

Comments about WaterStones Rescue 40 Gallon Rainwater Collection System:
Extremely Fast shipping and beautiful barrel, but the barell needs to be rAised two cinderblocks in order to drain which defeats the purpose of faux rock since now the blocks underneath show. Overall disappointed with how the system functions, but it looks great.

Q1: Do I have to make sure that the barrel is drained for the winter?
A: It is recommended to be drained because it is plastic and if the water freezes it could crack.
Q2: Do you have a diagram of the barrel with the over flow and instructions?
A: Yes, please see the last page of the installation guide for more details on linking two water stones together.
