Comments about Rain Water Solutions 65 gal. Plastic Rain Barrel:
I have owned 2 rain barrels--this one is the best one. I have one in the back yard with a similar design. It catches overflow from the gutters in the corner of the house, and I use the harvested rainwater to water my flowers. The top piece with the center holes has cracked, but it is still useable. I took my other barrel to the dump. I was thrilled when I got this rain barrel in granite; it was more expensive that my other two, but it is well worth it. The barrel is made of thick plastic, and arrived hardly scratched at all! The set up was easy, except it came without screws to attach the screen. I just used my staple gun--problem solved! I love the way the top piece tips towards the openings in the center--it works well without putting a downspout right over it. This is the one to buy!

Comments about Rain Water Solutions 65 gal. Plastic Rain Barrel:
Had avoided purchasing a rain barrel because they all seem to look like a garbage can. I was impressed with the solid feel of this (saw it at a recycling show display), and was overwhelmed by the little details they put into the product. They include plastic tape to keep the faucet thread from leaking and have overflow tubes which can easily connect to another. Strong screens and tight fitting parts to keep out bugs.

Comments about Rain Water Solutions 65 gal. Plastic Rain Barrel:
I have been saving water off the downspouts of our home and even our neighbors sometimes depending on which way the rain came and then dump it from a 25 gal into a 5 gal jug to be stored in our garage for future use.My husband called it "ghetto". He is delighted that I can catch it and store it in a nice looking item and it makes me happier to know that I don't have to work so hard to water my plants in the future.I told all of my classes today and they are curious to see it.
It's great and well worth the price!

Comments about Rain Water Solutions 65 gal. Plastic Rain Barrel:
After doing a lot of research, this is definitely one of the best rain barrels on the market. Its quality is much higher than most. It appears and feels built to last. Very thick, its sides barely flex. The design is also practical for rain collection and usage.

Q1: How long is the overflow hose? What is the diameter of the overflow hose?
A: The overflow hose is 6 foot long and is 1.25" in diameter.
Q2: Can this be linked to another rain barrel?
A: Yes, this rain barrel can easily link to another.
Q3: Is the interior/bottom of this barrel shaped differently from the 50 gal barrels?
A: This rain barrel is shaped differently for functionality. There are two threaded ports so that you have the option of which port to use as well as the option of adding a second spigot. The addition of the second spigot is again for functionality and ease of use. The barrel comes with one spigot and one plug for the two threaded ports.
The spigots are standard 3/4" and can be found in any hardware store if you choose to add a second. The second spigot is not a requirement - simply a way to add more functionality to the rain barrel.
The barrel ships compete with everything the home owner needs to start collecting rainwater as soon as it is set up.
Q4: Is this barrel freeze proof?
A: This barrel is not freeze proof, it's recommended to completely drain the water when it's winter season.
Q5: Is this BPA free?
A: Yes, it is BPA free.
