I received the barrel about a week ago and it had rained a few times so I have a little bit of experience with it. One thing you will want to do is elevate it for two reasons: 1. water pressure, 2. to make hose easier to attach. After the first rain, I had a lot of trouble getting the water out, so I drained it out and put it on a plastic stand I improvised. The pressure still isn't great, but at least I can get the hose on.
Also, the item was about twice as big as I expected. Not really a problem, but I did have to clear out some space and positioning it was a bit of a challenge, so just something to keep in mind.
It does look exactly as pictured. If you use it as a planter, be sure to put some rocks or something in the bottom before you plant anything because water will accumulate as it doesn't drain well.
The picture I attached is before I elevated and planted flowers. You'll have to tilt your head, sorry.

I was thrilled to find this for such a great price; however when it arrived the shipping box was very flimsy and upon reviewing the urn there was a huge indentation (approx 6" x 5") in the side of the plastic that cannot be pushed back out as it a very hard plastic (as I would hope) and now formed into the cavity. There is no way I will ship this back for return/exchenge, it would need new boxing, too cumbersome/heavy to deal with and the time and cost to box/ship would be prohibitive. Thankfully, I will be able to turn the urn so that the dent will be least visible and that it is an outside piece.

We wanted a functional rain barrel that would look good in our yard, and this one fit the bill. Extra bonus - free shipping. Ours came sans spigot, but purchased one locally for under $5. This is a sturdy barrel, and the picture gives an accurate representation of what you will get. Another added bonus, our town has a rebate program to help cover the cost of the barrel.
