Description

Able to conserve water, house flowers and look stylish all at once, the Rain Wizard 65 Gallon Rain Barrel Urn is a smart choice for your backyard. It's constructed from thick, durable polyethylene resin which holds up to the harshest elements. This barrel won't fade, crack or splinter. It has a natural-looking terra cotta finish to make it look right at home in its outdoor setting. A graceful shape and attractive details on the exterior make it an accent piece in addition to something that's working hard for you.

 

This rain barrel has a flat back design to optimize space. It will sit flush against walls, giving you greater flexibility on where to place it. The top of the barrel not only acts as planter space, but also features a unique watering system that leeches excess water from the barrel itself. It's the only one of its kind. There is also a channel built into the rim to divert overflowing water to the front, away from the barrel and your home's foundation.

    I received the barrel about a week ago and it had rained a few times so I have a little bit of experience with it. One thing you will want to do is elevate it for two reasons: 1. water pressure, 2. to make hose easier to attach. After the first rain, I had a lot of trouble getting the water out, so I drained it out and put it on a plastic stand I improvised. The pressure still isn't great, but at least I can get the hose on.
    Also, the item was about twice as big as I expected. Not really a problem, but I did have to clear out some space and positioning it was a bit of a challenge, so just something to keep in mind.
    It does look exactly as pictured. If you use it as a planter, be sure to put some rocks or something in the bottom before you plant anything because water will accumulate as it doesn't drain well.
    The picture I attached is before I elevated and planted flowers. You'll have to tilt your head, sorry.

    The price and delivery are both good. I consider the quality suspect however due to excess flashing material in the main opening (removed by sharp knife) and also the nozzle and tape in the bottom of the container and not in the sealed bag as was supposed to occur. Recovery of nozzle and tape was relatively easy, however, but bag should have been sealed with these in place.

      I like this product so much I purchased four of them. They are easy to put together and install. they're large enough to hold plenty of rain water. I've attached a soaker hose to two of them, which keeps my gardens constantly watered without having to drag out the hose. It save time and money. We're we live we pay alot for the water we use in the yard and gardens. This product has already saved us alot on opuir water bill. The flower pot well on top is also a great feature. My neighbors all rave above how functional, yet beautiful they look. The price was very reasonable too. Overall, I can't think of anything that I don't like about this product. I think anyone who is looking for a rain barrel would be very pleased with this one.

            product itself is great, but when i took it out of the box from HAYNEEDLE the barrel had dirt and sand on the bottom quarter of the barrel. it was obviously not "new in box" as rain splashed dirt on the barrel from sitting OUT of the box in dirt!!! :/
