Rain saver with planter
TheGood Ideas Savannah Rain Saver with Planter is a thing of beauty and clever design. Constructed with thick and durable polyethylene resin which holds up to the harshest elements, the exterior has the appearance of a colonial planter. The strong, regal lines and trim on the exterior make it an accent piece on your homes exterior and not something that just sticks to your house. The flat back design optimizes space used and allows you to position the barrel close to walls or flat areas. The top is the only of its kind that acts as a planter space and also self-drains when excess water is present. There is also a channel built into the rim which diverts overflowing water to the front and away from the barrel and home foundation. You can have peace of mind that you're helping the environment by conserving water and giving your garden the best wat

I live in a communitty where you place something in your front yard, has to come under review. Rain Barrels are not permitted in the front of your house. We have a severe drainage problem in the front of our house. We thought a rain barrel would make a difference. We copied pictures of the Savannah Rain Saver, and along with the application, submitted it for approval. The Committee came to our house, saw the drainage problem, and even though a rain barrel must be in the back of our house, they loved this rain saver and approved us. We are so happy. We can't instal it yet since my husband just had some minor surgery, but the instructions are clear. We think we can install it pretty easy. Thank you and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will help and beautify our front yard.

Comments about Good Ideas Savannah Rain Saver with Planter:
It's lightweight, but once full, it really sets in to the ground to make it very sturdy... The sides themselves are not sturdy enough to retain their shape.. it buldges out to wherever the water level inside is. I purchased it to keep the rainwater off of my new sod.. so it works for that.. I connect the hose and let it drain into the woods. There's not enough pressure to water the flowers unless it's clear full (unless I put another hose into the top.. defeats the purpose of saving water)

Sturdy, stylish, and all the features we wanted. With a flat back, it will fit right against the house, and no additional downspout lines are needed. We can't wait for the snow to melt, so we can get ready for spring with our new rain savers!
