Excellent for general water transfer from rain barrels, the Rain Well Rain Barrel Water Pump comes with garden hose fittings and a 115-volt AC three-prong plug. This popular model has three independent pumping chambers. The 115-volt automatic demand pump is preferred for applications where a 110-volt - 120-volt small water pump can be used. It's designed for multiple-fixture intermittent duty applications. Moving parts will not travel more than 1/8 inch, reducing friction, and wear and tear. This rain barrel water pump pumps 3.3 gallons per minute (GPM) with 45 PSI shut-off pressure. The AC cord is 6 feet long and requires an extension cord. This pump is not recommended for outdoor use during rainy weather and should not be stored outside during the winter or once the temperature is below 32 degrees Farenheit. Garden hose fittings are included; does not include garden valve. Features a 2-year limited warranty.

This pump is very effective at providing adequate pressure for lawn irrigation using rain barrels. It will drain a 50 gal. barrel in about 15 minutes, so several rain barrels should be connected together to water even small lawns. The pump seems to get quiet warm after 15 minutes of use, so continuous, lengthy uses may shorten the life of the pump.

Wow! I was skeptical when I bought the rain barrel pump, but it turned out to be everything as advertised and more. It's quiet, powerful, and very easy to use. I now can hook up my sprinkler system to my rain barrel rather than lug buckets of rain water to my plants. The pump does all the work.
